Printing Overview
Dineax supports screen-first kitchen operation, Android direct printing, Windows print-agent printing, printer routing, hybrid setup, and digital-only operation.
Readiness
Hardware readiness is evidence-gated. A software foundation does not mean every printer, paper width, cutter, cash drawer, retry path, or failure mode is ready for production.
Current Pilot Boundary
The selected Android direct Bluetooth receipt path can be used only within the approved supervised pilot boundary. It requires the selected Android device, selected Bluetooth printer, staff procedure, physical receipt output, reprint handling, and printed-total verification.
Browser printing, discovery of a printer, or a software print queue alone does not prove POS printer readiness.
Printing Modes
| Mode | Current public status |
|---|---|
| Screen-only KDS | Supported where the outlet chooses screen workflow. |
| Android direct receipt | Selected supervised pilot path only. |
| Android direct KOT | Validation-dependent. |
| Windows print agent | Software foundation exists; outlet validation is required. |
| Printer routing | Supported as a configuration concept; physical route evidence is required. |
| Browser print | Not accepted as POS printer readiness. |
| Cutter/cash drawer | Not claimed unless separately validated. |
