Trials

Trials let a tenant evaluate a time-bound subscription state before conversion or expiry.

Trial Start and Duration​

The foundation supports starting a trial and recording its period. Final commercial trial duration and eligibility policy must follow approved product rules.

Extension​

Trial extension is supported as a controlled lifecycle action. Extensions should record a reason and remain visible in subscription history.

Expiry​

Trial expiry can be recorded. Due-trial expiry processing exists as a foundation action, but automated scheduler-backed commercial expiry should not be assumed unless it is validated for the deployment.

Conversion​

A trial can be converted to a paid subscription foundation state. Commercial payment collection, invoice generation, renewal, and proration are separate and not production-ready.

After Expiry​

After expiry, the tenant may lose access to trial-only capabilities once approved entitlement enforcement is applied. Data retention must follow the tenant's approved product, support, and legal policy.
